This summer, we’re launching our very first Coastal Ambiance Beach Clean-Up Day, and we’d love for you to join us! Between storms, ocean currents, and all the daily beach visitors enjoying the sun and sand, trash can pile up where it doesn’t belong. But when we all pitch in, we can clean it up and keep our beaches looking fresh and beautiful. Every piece of trash you pick up helps protect marine life — especially the sea turtles and nesting shorebirds. Most of our turtle visitors are loggerheads, but we also see occasional leatherbacks and green turtles making their way to shore. We’re also home to snowy plovers, a small and special shorebird that relies on clean beaches to thrive.
